home to a multitude of different sized balloons and is able to accommodate
groups from 4 people to 50. When you purchase your hot air balloon flight
ticket over the internet with Sunballoon you receive an automatic discount
off our regular rates per passenger. We fly every Saturday and Sunday
morning in Temecula and almost every day in San Diego. Alternate flight
locations such as Del Mar, CA and Sedona or Scottsdale, AZ are available via
our associate company .You can book over the Internet and obtain our very best price. Plus you can receive a confirmation of your slot(s) via return email. You will need to secure with a credit or debit card. If you are purchasing a prepaid ticket for either yourself or someone else you may order it and we will mail it to you upon processing your payment. These tickets have an expiration date of one year from purchase. Your standard reservation is secured as per above but we do not charge your card until you actually arrive at the meeting site unless you “no show” or cancel too late. You may call us to book a flight and you can mail in a deposit of 50% of the fare, paying the balance on flight date. Seeing the sun rise on many acres of grapes below as you float as high as 3000 feet to capture magnificent views of the surrounding mountains (including Mt Palomar and Mt San Jacinto) is a great way to start your day. You will also see several of the nice lakes nearby. Often you will see coyotes, deer and even bald eagles, and of course rabbits. Although Sunballoon provides a nice Champagne and Cider/Orange juice celebration complete with bakery goods, fruit and a neat photo and flight certificate, you will have an excellent choice of vineyards and restaurants to have a late breakfast or an early lunch.
The Del Mar area coastal flights are known for terrific views and spectacular sunsets. The magnificent estates of Rancho Sante Fe, (including one of Bill Gates' homes), the renowned Del Mar Racetrack, beautiful views of the Pacific coastline, and the rolling fields and rugged canyons of inland Del Mar are typical sights during our sunset flights. Your memories will truly last a lifetime, so be sure to bring a camera and at least one spare roll of film (or spare batteries). The final segment of the flight is flown near the surface as we drift over the countryside in preparation for landing . It is during this portion that we are likely to see deer, coyote, and rabbits. Upon landing the celebration begins: as the sun sets off the Pacific coast, your pilot will initiate you into the world of ballooning with a traditional champagne toast followed by a picnic in the fields. As the party comes to an end we head back to the vehicle. But the memory lingers as you glance at your framed flight certificate and the photo of your balloon. Normal flights for sightseeing are about an hour in length or four miles in distance depending on the particular winds of the day. The entire adventure takes about three hours from your arrival at the meeting site until you are returned to that location. If a hotel/resort pickup was included then the driving time should be added to the three hours.
