The Introductory Keel
Boat Course
The Goal is to become a safe, self reliant sailor fast! You will acquire and
practice the following skills:
- Full knowledge and practice of safety procedures
- Proper preparations for your time on the water
- Rules of the road
- Correct nautical terms, commands and their uses
- Crew teamwork and communications
- Docking, rigging and derigging the main, jib, and Genoa sails
- Sail theory and trim
- Reading and understanding the wind and its effects on the boat
- Sailing maneuvers including; tacking, reaching, running, coming about, heave too,
controlled jibes, points of sail, reefing
Teaching materials include The California Boating Safety Course, on board check lists
with
photos, a basic sailing book, computer software, six hours of video tape, a personalized
binder,
and a free Martins Sailing School hat.

The basic introductory keel boat course is $395.00 per person on weekends,
$695 for two weekends (
(maximum four students, no minimum) $295.00 per person on weekdays,
$595 for two weekdays, two full days and an evening on the water. $100.00 will be credited to ASA Certification. You may spend the
night
on a boat, and if you have time the third consecutive day is free! There are plenty of
good
restaurants and lots to do. Classes are scheduled for the
convenience of the students. We teach every day of the week during the spring, summer, and
fall.
During the winter the boats are usually out of the slips and on trailers in the parking
lot. The
lake is lowered for flood control but there is a ramp available so we are still able to
launch the

The Goal is to become a safe, responsible, confident, happy captain of a Catalina 22. One Full Year of Unlimited Sailing! Including all instructions

WISH TO PLAY, PRACTICE, AND REFINE YOUR SKILLS
Upon completion of your instructions or check out, you will be able to reserve and captain
a boat as often as you wish. We have four beautiful, fully equipped and shipshape Catalina
22 sailboats. All the boats are berthed in slips. The convenience of having the boats in
the water is immeasurable. Once you are qualified, you will be sailing within minutes upon
your arrival at the marina. Rigging is accomplished in less than ten minutes. Evening
sails are very quiet and relaxing. Great R&R! Heave too and read our clients comments
from some of our smooth sailing shipmates. The reservations are made on a first come first
served basis. You may make reservations an hour, a day, a week, or a month in advance. We
have cell phones and excellent communications with our shipmates. This system always works
very well. It is very rare that we are unable to accommodate a sailor. $1,000,000.00
liability and hull insurance with a $1,000.00 deductible is also included.

Enjoy a beautiful romantic evening on
the Delta

(Regularly $295)
 Sailing in the evenings on
the Delta is wonderful! It's quiet and romantic with gentle breezes. It's
usually ten to fifteen degrees cooler with good winds. We will cater the
meals or you may prepare your own food and we will provide the set ups. We
have a portable table and stools we set up on a beach or on an island. You
could even stay overnight on the boat if you wish. There are hot showers,
hookups. free camping, free parking and no admission fees. For day sails,
lunch, or moonlight cruises with optional candle light dinners call for
prices and availabilities.
Skippered day sails
We have large sun umbrellas to protect you from too much sun. Sunset Cruises and
Day sails are $295.00 that includes me and the boat. If after the
cruise you decide you want the annual package I credit $100.00 to the cost of the annual
package
