Founded in 1938, the Museum is an educational institution that promotes
a greater understanding of art and performing arts through collections,
exhibitions and programs. The Museum's permanent art collection features
19th, 20th, and 21st century works focusing on contemporary California,
classic western American, Native American and Pre-Columbian art.
In addition, the Annenberg Theater keeps an eclectic calendar from
ballet to modern dance, opera to jazz, and comedy to drama. The Museum
offers art and science classes, special events, hikes, lectures, films,
two sculpture gardens, cafe and museum store filled with unique items
you won't find anywhere else. See

Tour Gallery Café
The Café offers an enticing menu of tempting fresh salads, an
array of generous sandwiches, tasty snacks, refreshing juices,
cappuccinos, and iced tea. Treat yourself to a relaxing lunch in the
casual setting of our Café or take a break from your Museum tour with a
snack while enjoying the soothing ambiance of the outdoor sculpture
gardens.

Thursday 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
Closed Mondays and major holidays

Ute Lemper
German-born Ute Lemper’s career is vast and varied. This
international entertainer has made her mark on the stage, in
concert, and as a unique recording artist. Ute has performed with
the National Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and at
Davies Hall in San Francisco. She has been universally praised for
her interpretations of Berlin cabaret songs, the works of Kurt Weill
and French chanson, as well as her portrayals on Broadway and in
London’s West End.
