Climb
Just For Fun: This adventure is for those who
want to try climbing for the first time without the artificial indoor
atmosphere. Throughout the day we will emphasize fun rather than the
technical aspects of climbing. Climb easy to challenging rocks in a very
safe setting. Great for friends, family, and group events. All ages

Intro.
to Rock Climbing (Level 1): You don't need any experience or brute
strength to try this adventure. Whether you are a total beginner,
an intermediate gym climber, or someone
looking for a refresher, you can be assured you'll have a blast.
Throughout the day you will get expert instruction and a lot of climbing
time. By the end of the course you will know about climbing safety,
movement, knots, equipment, and belaying. So go for it, and make the next
move with Outback Adventures!

Intermediate
Rock Climbing (Level 2): Go beyond the basics with our one day course
covering rappelling, route finding, basic top-rope anchor rigging, energy
conservation, and advanced climbing techniques. Price: $85

Intro.
to Rock Climbing Camp (Level 1 & 2): Spend more time on the rock
covering the skills taught in the intro. and intermediate rock climbing
courses. Breakfast, dinner, camping fees, and group camping equipment are
included in this two day course. Price: $230 Dates/Location: Pinnacles National Monument:January
25-26; March 8-9; April 12-13.
Castle Rock State Park: April 26-27.
Learn to
Lead! (Level 3): Climb your first lead routes in a safe and fun
setting. This course will cover important aspects of leading traditional
and sport climbing routes. A top-rope belay will allow you to learn and
practice your leading skills with confidence. Learn To Lead instruction
may be taken as a one or two day overnight course. The two day course will
cover multi-pitch climbing and includes breakfast, dinner, group camping
equipment, and camping fees. Price: One day $90, Two days $240

Anchoring Clinic: Learn the art of making safe anchors for rock climbing. We will focus on gear placement, solid anchor rigging, anchor choices, and the physics behind it all. This course is essential for people starting to lead their own climbs, especially for the aspiring traditional climber. Price: $85 Dates booked by request.
Intro. to Aid Climbing: Aid climbing is an invaluable skill for those seeking to climb the many big wall routes found in Yosemite Valley and around the world. This course is for strong intermediate climbers, and will introduce the specialized gear and techniques required for climbing big walls.
