9-Day Excursion:
Glaciers and Whales in Southeast Alaska-You will experience two of our
most popular trips for just one low price on this HUGE adventure. We have
combined our whale encounter with our glacier tour. This trip is fully
catered and all camping equipment is supplied. All you bring is your
sleeping bag, clothing and adventurous spirit. Here is how our itinerary
pans out.
Floatplanes will pick us up and fly west to Kupreanof Island, one of
Southeast Alaska's premiere areas to view whales. The coastline offers
miles of beaches and coves to explore by sea kayak. Humpback whales are
only one of the many animals feeding in the rich waters offshore. River
otters search the beach looking for a dinner of crab and clams while bald
eagles keep a watchful eye, searching for salmon returning to spawn in
nearby creeks. For those interested in doing some land-based exploring,
our neighbors include black bear, moose, deer, mink, and wolf. After each
exciting day we'll spend our evening recalling the days events by a warm
fire on the beach.
Then we are transported by power boat to our Leconte Glacier Bay Base
Camp. The glacier is active, constantly fracturing and calving, filling
the bay with thousands of icebergs and sounds of thunder. We will paddle
throughout the bay, enjoying lush old growth forests of spruce and hemlock
that give way to sheer 3,000-foot rock walls that have been polished
smooth by glacier ice. You'll see thundering waterfalls and icebergs
ranging from crystal-clear to bright blue in every shape and size
imaginable. A truly unforgettable experience!
This tour uses remote base camps which will be your home each night.
The camps offer a wilderness setting with some comforts: roomy dome tents
and a large covered kitchen/dining area. Southeast Alaska has a mild
maritime climate with summertime temperatures ranging from 50-75F. In the
evenings we proudly serve some of Southeast Alaska's finest seafood around
a crackling fire. This tour is great for first time kayak explorers and
experienced paddlers who want a softer experience.

paddling equipment, group camping gear, camp meals and beverages,

relax. This tour uses remote camps which will be our home each night.

and home cooking in the camp kitchen. All camping gear and meals are
provided. All you bring is your sleeping bag, clothing and personal items.

6-Days in Bahia de los Angeles,
Baja California-Join us on this fantastic adventure down the Baja
peninsula on the Sea of Cortez. The journey on Highway 1 starts out along
the beautiful Pacific Ocean coast, then turns inland through the mountains

"Boojum" trees are really unique to this area and create a stunning
contrast to the beautiful blue of the Sea of Cortez.
We will camp on the
beach south of town for 6 days/5 nights, doing day paddles in the morning
before the wind comes up. In the mornings with no wind, the water is
smooth as glass and crystal clear. Paddling along the rocks is like being
in an aquarium with all the fish and aquatic plants. The 70 degree water
temperatures make swimming and snorkeling an added pleasure. In the
afternoons, if the wind comes up there is lots to do. We can visit the
preservation center for the sea turtles just north of town. There is also
a wonderful museum with hands-on exhibits showing the natural history of
the area. It holds a full skeleton of a whale, a complete collection of

Indian cliff painting site and visit the historic San Borja mission, at
different times inhabited by the Jesuits, Franciscans and Dominicans. We

it will be great for clamming. All the varieties of clams make really
tasty appetizers.

Gray Whale Encounter and Baja Tour,
Laguna San Ignacio,
Baja California-This is one of our trips with little or no kayaking.

original Mexican fisherman who befriended the whales, to take us out in
his panga for an up-close-and-personal experience with the whales.
On the way to San Ignacio we will stop for the night in the beautiful
boulder and cactus garden of Catavina where there is a small cave with
ancient rock art.
Once in San Ignacio, we will camp on the river in a beautiful date palm
oasis. We will explore along the river and visit the local village
with its museum and historic mission built in 1726.
Costs are $490 per person, plus food for this 6-day tour. Price
includes full-time guide, ground transportation, camping fees, and whale
encounter in the lagoon. Hotel accommodations will be arranged for an
additional cost. This trip is limited to 6 persons.
- 8 Days in the Sea of Cortez,
Loreto, Baja California-This tour begins just south of Loreto in an
area dotted with pristine beaches, colorful cliffs and dramatic desert
islands. On this kayaking tour we load equipment, food and water into our
sleek one and two person fiberglass sea kayaks and slip away to explore
the remote coast most tourists never see.
Unique and exciting, we use local guides who will introduce you to the
area's natural history as well as teach basic skills such as low-impact
camping used in Baja-style touring. We will paddle 2-4 hours in the
morning to one of many beautiful beaches for camping. Afternoons can be
spent exploring nearby islands, snorkeling, hiking, or practicing paddling
techniques.
This trip is limited to 10 persons and costs are $895 per person plus

peninsula on the Sea of Cortez. The journey on Highway 1 starts out along
the beautiful Pacific Ocean coast, then turns inland through the mountains
and becomes unique cactus country. The Saguaro and Cirio cacti are really
different in this area and create a stunning contrast to the beautiful
blue of the Sea of Cortez. We will camp on the beach south of town for 6
nights, doing day paddles in the morning before the wind comes up. In the
mornings with no wind, the water is smooth as glass and crystal clear.
Paddling along the rocks is like being in an aquarium with all the fish
